“Rules of Engagement” Safe Sex Guide
So there’s absolutely nothing wrong in wanting and having a lot of sex or have sex with multiple partners. It’s just really important these days that you do it safely. There are two types of sexual relationships monogamous and not monogamous. No matter how clean anyone says they are, or how many times he or she tells you their “clean”, use a condom.
Don’t be shy or embarrassed to talk to your partner and find out about their sexual history before engaging in sexual activity. If you notice any sores, rashes or unusual sores or blisters in the genital area of your partner, do not engage in sexual activity.
Many STD's have no signs or symptoms. People who are infected may look perfectly healthy. However, if you are sexually active and notice any of the following conditions, you should contact a STD clinic immediately:
- Unusual discharge from the penis or vagina
- Pain when passing urine
- Unusual sores or blisters in the genital area
- Itching or irritation in the genital area
- Pain during intercourse
